The old guy can keep up with the kids…

Rick…here, learning all this new fangled stuff on computers.  Of course, I have Bren the computer expert/guru showing me what to do.   I am the only one that has not slept since we left for this journey to Peru.  So I guess for an old guy, I am doing pretty good. Good sleep tonight will be welcome! It is so amazing to once again step into another land .. to experience God is a fresh new way.  We have a terrific team on this journey…I am practicing my face painting skills for our kid’s carnival this week.  I have the awesome privilege to share MY story..the story of how God has taken a broken foster kid whose Dad and Mom died at the hands of a drunken driver…to being told two years ago that I have a terminal illness with only months to live……………that  life which God has so graciously extended……for such a time as this.  I share my story this coming Saturday.  The sights, sounds and smells of a foreign country, the anticipation of spending this next week in the barrio’s of Peru…to see God at work.  Thanks for praying for us folks!  Stay tuned.

I will never forget how I was moved when I heard your story last year, so the good people there are in for quite a treat! Grateful to hear you are all there safe and sound. I am already counting the days until the next trip. The people there are very blessed to have such a wonderful group ministering to them!
