Thursday Update

Hello everyone.  It’s been a few days since we’ve been able to use the internet and a lot has happened.  We just got back from L’vove last night after spending 2 full days there.  I was able to stay at the rehab center and got to know the guys there, both leaders and newcomers.  What’s cool is that the current leaders are the same guys who were going through the program last year.  It was very humbling to hear their stories about how grateful they are for their salvation, sobriety and opportunity to give back to others.

Janice and the ladies presented the women’s seminar in L’vove on Tuesday and Wednesday and are now presenting it in Kherson.  A few of the young ladies in attendance will also join us for the Youth Conference next week.  The group also held English classes in the village and we will offer it in the city starting tonight.  Jennifer, Eric and I were also able to make a side trip to the village of Tyginka and visit the hospice there.  Much more important than any of the classes or seminars is the time we get to spend with friends and the relationships that are formed and continue to grow through the years.  The people of L’vove always steal our hearts when we visit.

Now that we’re back in Kherson we’ve got 3 days full of English classes and seminars for the ladies, the worship teams and the youth leaders.  Tomorrow during the woman’s seminar the men will go out to TCI and prepare the property for next week’s conference.  As a group we’ve been able to take time to reflect with each other what God is revealing to each of us during this visit.  I think this has been a very important time for all of us.  We’ve experienced a few scrapes and cuts, but otherwise everyone is doing well.Thank you all again for your support and your prayers and partnership.  This is every bit your service as much as ours.  Much love from all of us!

This is so cool! Thank you for keeping us up to date with what you’re doing. It’s great to hear from you. What an adventure! God’s going to do amazing things and you’re going to have wonderful stories to share. I would LOVE to be there with you but know that I can’t at this time in my life. Thanks for doing it–loving and serving in that way. Will be praying that God uses you all in an incredible way and that you stay healthy and safe. Love, Dee
