It’s almost 1pm on Tuesday and we’re getting ready to go to lunch. Most of the people arrived to camp yesterday afternoon and we found out last night there are 270 people in attendance. For those of us that were here last year it is good to see familar faces. It’s also fun to see how the Pecots are jumping right in and getting to know people as well. Michael and Cooper spent the better part of the afternoon playing guitar and singing with a new friend named Alexi. The Stevens have been making friendship bracelets with some of the interpretors. Last night after dinner we had our first all-camp worship time with some great singing a teaching. This morning Cooper, John, Andrea, Brianna, Joe Schloesser and Matt did a mime skit about the how burdensome it can be to fit in that tied in with a message that Jim delivered immediately afterward. We got to see Jim light a cigarette and put mud in his hair! We all just spent some time in the river cooling off. I don’t remember if I mentioned it, but it’s been very hot and humid the whole time we’ve been here. After lunch we’ll be leading English and drama classes and purity seminars for the guys and girls.
Gotta go now. We hope all is going well for everyone back home! We love getting your comments to our posts.
